Hi there!
It's nice to see you again here on my blog post.
Today I want to reveal my freehand painting using Kuretake Gansai Tambi - Japanese traditional water coloring, I jumped over when my friend - Vera, introduced me to this water color and I love love them at the end ..
Since I love to paint for simple scene when I was young, my mind suddenly thought about the beautiful Mid Autumn .. and I just remember the words;
“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”
(forgive me I am forget the author of these words)
I am focusing on the lovely Tripping Flower Tilda .. as she is really so beautiful on the Japanese costume! and I wanna tell you that the Mid Autumn for us as Asian mean more than a little .. we have a traditional gathering with family and eat the "Moon Cake" together. We put our WISH for the better weather ahead!
oh yes .. let me ask you to wider the focus, I paint an Autumn scene in Japan for the background, and as I mentioned before I do it with free hand style. I am not a professional painter but I think not have to be perfect on this hobby :)
So, I hope you could still enjoy my painting
Below, I will post some of picture for more detail ..
Those picture show how I enjoy every steps when I color the image, the background and wrapped it out on a design to be a "Mid Autumn Wish"card .. through this card I wish everyone would have a cozy Autumn and enjoy the beautiful of the turning leaves!
Thank you so much to stopping by and read my blog post today .. will see you again soon!

Gypsy Tilda and Water coloring Background
Monday 15 September 2014
Hello my lovely readers ..
Today I have a card with a story for share, wish it will bring you some inspiration :)
Once upon a time
on the starry starry night ..
There was a pretty lady sitting on the wall at the back yard, she brings a crystal ball ..
mmm .. what would she doing ?
She is so fancy with a Gypsy costume :)
and because she wants to give the wisdom wording she copied a quote ..
Do your little bit good where you are,
It's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm
the World!
Gypsy Tilda is from Magnolia latest collection : Pink Lemonade 2014
I color Tilda with some kind of mediums;
for her skin, hair band and her slippers I use Distress Ink, while for her dress and the wall she sat I color them with Graphitint
I put some glossy accent on her crystal ball to make a dimensional look.
For the words I stamp a sentiment stamp from StampinÚp! with versamark on a vellum and apply Ranger Platinum liquid embossing powder.
Those Bark Butterflies are from Prima marketing.
I have a chance to take a photo when I play with water coloring to make a starry starry night background,
First I apply a masking liquid on my image, I use Winsor and Newton but you sure can use any brand you may found on the store close to you :) I place my image on a mini cutting board with painter tape and start doing the water coloring.
I use Kuretake Gansai Tambi for my background as they are can go well both opaque and transparent and I would say that they are my favorite from now on.
Here the closer look, and I am happy to have them :)
when you can get the 36 colors, they have pearl, silver and gold color also and they were so awesome!
I think that's all from me today, thank you very much for stopping on my blog and I wish to see you again .. bye!!
